Timberlake Estates for over fifteen years has provided an outstanding neighborhood in which to live and play.  The Estates along with the Plantation, and the other Timberlake Neighborhoods (click here for satellite image) was formed  from  the property owned by Joe E. Timberlake and his family.  The Timberlake family summer home was facing the Lake Murray area called Little Gap (the land now located on Old Summer Place).  Much has happened over the years to add to the pleasure, security, and value of living in Timberlake Estates.  The demographics have changed from empty nesters to a mix of retirees and young families, adding a lively balance to the neighborhood. The Estates is comprised of 224 homesites of which approximately 75% have been built upon with homes ranging from 2400 sf to over 9000 sf.

The last few years as the community has grown the governance has grown to accommodate the growth.  New covenants, by-laws and architectural guidelines have been approved and implemented to preserve and enhance our investment and community.
